The fact is that although saying ‘maths is fun’ sounds nice — no one is entitled to ram it down your throat and force you to swallow the idea.

However, whilst your personal views on the matter may disagree with ‘maths is fun’, it is wise to keep such thoughts and feelings to yourself — especially if you have kids of school age!

The fact is kids are like walking barometers registering their parents thoughts and feelings and it really would not be a good idea to undermine their confidence and give them bad vibes about the subject.

Sure there are plenty of games and other ‘fun’ activities out there shouting ‘maths is fun’ but you know and I know that when it comes to doing it properly, you need to put pen to paper and work at it, especially if you have any exams ahead!
